Professional Soccer Player Representation
|
|
|
|
Should you be part of The Moberly Group LLC Family?
Professional Soccer players throughout the U.S. and around the world have sought the advice of The Moberly Group LLC in developing their professional careers.
Even though professional soccer players in the U.S. do not have the high salaries that players do in the NFL NBA, or MLB, quality representation is still vital if players have a desire to be one of the elite players in MLS or have a desire to be successful in foreign leagues.
We view our relationship with our clients as a lasting business partnership. As a result, we look at a wide-variety of issues when making the decision if we want a player to be part of The Moberly Group LLC. Values, work ethic, and life off the field are critically important when deciding if we want the player as a client. Obviously the player’s athletic ability is the initial attraction, but at the end of the day we always ask ourselves one question: “If soccer was not in the picture, is the player someone we would want as a business partner?”.
What can The Moberly Group LLC do for you?
The Moberly Group LLC provides a valuable set of services to professional soccer players that makes it both unique and one of the most highly sought after firms in the U.S.
We have three goals that we set for ourselves with every client who becomes part of The Moberly Group LLC family:
- Help the client reach his ultimate goals in professional soccer and life.
- Assurance that the client is at his highest potential for every trial or training
camp he goes to
- Place client with a team where he is comfortable and can grow the most as a
player
- Help the client with “off the field” issues so that he can focus strictly on family,
friends, and his career.
How do we accomplish our goals for our clients?
Client Goal Setting When a client becomes part of The Moberly Group LLC family, we help him determine his goals for professional soccer and establish plans of action to meet those goals.
Advocate for you The Moberly Group LLC acts as an advocate for its client with his team and league. By having us in their corner, clients of The Moberly Group LLC feel safe and realize their professional soccer career is in excellent hands.
Most firms that represent professional soccer players do not have licensed attorneys to interpret the client’s contracts or to negotiate on the client’s behalf. The Moberly Group LLC has a group of sports attorneys to assist the client with all negotiations and arbitrations that occur during the client’s professional career.
As part of The Moberly Group LLC Team, we will:
- Handle all communications on behalf of a client with teams and leagues
- Provide quality interpretations of every contract our client is presented with
before so the client knows exactly what he is signing and is obligated to do.
- Monitor the team and leagues actions towards our client to assure they are
abiding by the contract they had our client sign.
- Work hand-in-hand with a league’s players’ union to appeal any fines or
disciplinary actions that are brought against you by your team or the league.
- Perform extensive research and due diligence when preparing for a
negotiation so that we are able to get our client the highest value for his services.
In Season Evaluation Throughout the client’s season The Moberly Group LLC Team keeps in frequent contact with the client’s coaches as well as attend client’s games and practices ourselves to have our own evaluation of how he is performing. We provide feedback as much as possible to the client during the season so he can get the most out of his opportunity. Based on our evaluations as well as that of the client’s coaches and team trainer, we compile a report for the client that provides him with what technical skills he needs to develop to become a better player and what physical skills he needs to improve to become a better overall athlete.
Training and Evaluation Hardly any companies in the U.S. provide physical training for their soccer clients, The Moberly Group, LLC does. To accomplish our goal of “Assuring that the player is at his genetic potential for every trial or training camp he goes to” we feel it is vital to provide our clients with intense off season and in season training programs as well as technical evaluation throughout their season.
The Moberly Group LLC has an exclusive agreement with one of the top training facilities in the U.S., Velocity Sports Performance. Velocity provides our clients with cutting edge off-season and in-season workout programs that help them reach their genetic potential for the following seasons training camp or trials.
Marketing Plan We feel that an aggressive Marketing Plan for a player is vital in professional sports. The objectives of our Marketing Plan is to promoting our client to get the most exposure to professional teams and leagues around the world and help the client get the most out of his name and ability through endorsements and appearances.
Post Career Planning A common mistake that professional athletes make is not adequately planning for life after professional sports. What career will they pursue? Will they be left with enough money? These are questions we help our clients answer.
Pursuing a new career Just as we help the client set goals for their professional soccer career, we do the same for life after soccer. However, there are many players who want to leave soccer behind and pursue a career totally unrelated to it once they finish playing; whatever our client wants to do, we can help.
Proper Financial Planning The Moberly Group LLC has an exclusive group of accountants and investment advisors who assist its clients with proper planning so that the client gets the most out of their income from professional soccer as well as with their post soccer career. Proper tax planning and investment strategy during his professional career can save an athlete an incredible amount of money and prepare him for his retirement from professional sports.
